Galgos have leaner musculature and more stamina for endurance running, and are either smooth or rough-coated and come in a wide variety of colours, much like the greyhound.

Galgos, like the greyhound, make fantastic pets with their friendly personalities. They get along well with other dogs, cats, and children. These gentle giants adjust well to home life and quickly discover the comfort of your couch and lap.

We partner with rescue groups in Spain to facilitate galgo adoption here in Atlantic Canada. Through this partnership these dogs come to you fully vetted with up-to-date vaccinations, spay or neuter, and tested for Mediterranean diseases. They also come with a personality profile courtesy of their rescue group and can be small pet tested prior to adoption.
